I've tried pressing F2 and F10 (you're right it's F10 for a Compaq). Didn't get into the BIOS. On the back of the board in the left hand bottom corner is etched: P/N: 001-R03 (on the first website below the number ends with R01) PCB:PWA-BMW MOTHER BD On the back of the board in the right hand bottom corner is etched: BTI ML-1 94V-0 (a zero) 0044 ET1 (stamped on with rubber stamp upside down) E198991 On the front of the board in-between the processor and the memory is a white label with bar code on the bottom. Above the bar code is written: 433AEJ00(two zeros)199i to the right of the above label is another white label: Product of China 0128 43(DS) Right next to what I assume is the CMOS chip and the CMOS battery is a white label: 0203 (both zeros) I searched and searched all over the internet prior to this. I tried all the numbers on the board, got nothing. There's a little sticker on the bottom of the case. It says 'Compaq Agency Series CM0902'.

I searched for that and came up with two useless websites. Then I tried a number on a separate label off the bottom of the case: 174971-005 I made copies of the two motherboards that I found on eBay with that number. While I was just looking at the board, I noticed that the CMOS jumper was set on reset.

I've been trying to clear it backwards. I set it up the way it's supposed to be and it booted right up.

Just the same you taught me some important things about how to check a motherboard. I was always wondering what those beeps meant.
